FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

How old does my child have to be to attend LCA?
Students applying for enrollment for the 2018-2019 school year must be 2 years of age on or before September 1st, 2018.

Does my child need to be fully potty trained before attending?
We do not require students in our 2 year old classes to be potty trained.  We DO require students in our 3's classes and older to be fully potty trained. Staff is available to help with hand washing, pants, buckles, etc but we ask that your child be able to identify their own bathroom needs.

What do I do if my child has severe food allergies or needs medication?
All LCA staff members strive to provide a safe environment for our students. Please indicate any food allergies on your registration form so that all staff members are aware your child's needs. Food allergies will be posted in each room where your child spends time, so that caregivers may easily view it. If your child has a known food allergy, LCA is required to obtain a copy of your Food Allergy Emergency Plan prior to admission. This plan MUST be signed by yourself and your primary care provider.
Limiting medications dispensed away from home prevents medication errors. Lighthouse Christian Academy is designed for well children. If medicines need to be administered at school, they must be brought to the office and a Medication Authorization Form filled out, giving us permission to administer medication to your child.

When can I register?
January 29th will start the first day of Priority Re-Enrollment for current families who have intentions to return in the fall.
February 12th we will open registration to the general public for the 2018-2019 school year.  Registration is accepted upon a first come first serve basis. Summer information will be updated as it becomes available.

Can I be placed on a waiting list if you are full?
Yes, we will gladly place you on a waiting list and you will be contacted IF a space becomes available.

What fees are due and when?
The $250 registration fee and the first months tuition are both due at the time of enrollment. The registration fee will secure your child's spot in the program. Availability is limited, and enrollment is first come first serve. Tuition may be paid either annually or divided between 10 monthly payments. The first payment is due at registration, and the remaining 9 payments drafted on the 5th of each month, September through May.

Can I come see the school and bring my child with me?
YES Please call our office to schedule a tour to see our school, and meet our staff! We encourage you to bring the family when you come and we thank you for the opportunity to meet you all.
